Educational Installations – Photovoltaic and Wind Turbine
This is a dual system – wind turbine and photovoltaic array installed at Aberaeron Comprehensive School, Ceredigion. The wind turbine is a “Stealth 400″ and the PV array comprises of eight 40Wp photovoltaic modules. Each system has its own inverter that is connected to the grid.
The wind turbine and PV array performance can be monitored using a PC programmed with the dedicated software, thus enabling the pupils to collect data and produce output, performance and efficiency graphs relative to the changing seasonal climatic conditions.
