The above illustrations show the variations in battery storage – Underground, Column base or High level. Each unit is fitted with a photovoltaic module, solid state battery management and progammable lighting timer, storage battery/batteries, galvanised steelwork and stainless steel fittings. The lamp is low energy compact fluorescent housed in an aluminium lantern.
We do not normally supply the columns, but we can do so if required.
Grid Tied Street Lighting
These devices charge the energy into the grid as opposed to a storage battery. The grid benefits from peak time generated energy, whereas the lamp draws the energy back at off peak times.
Each unit is fitted with a miniature grid tied inverter that matches the grid frequency.
